Just finished an Airstream Caravan to Newfoundland, Canada called the Viking Trail Caravan. During the caravan we stopped at Vernon’s Antique Car Museum in Swift Current, Newfoundland. Here we boondocked, what lookings like a huge parking lot hugging a lake. I open up the solar panel kit and connected it into the solar port of my 30’ International 2019 Airstream with lead acid batteries. The panels worked great and enabled me to keep my Starlink and Rig powered. Daylight in Newfoundland is from 5:30 AM till around 9:30 PM. I easily moved the solar panels to direct sunlight to help with it performance. Love these panels for sure.

This is awesome! Just got back from Sequoia National Park and this had our batteries at 100% by 9:30 every morning. We have the 12 volt refrigerator and our batteries were 100% all day. Definitely suggest this upgrade!

I have a fixed 100 watt solar panel on my 25’ Flying Cloud. I was always concerned with getting a full battery charge when under tree shade. Adding the new 200 watt solar panels has alleviated my concerns. The solar kit is well constructed and easy to plug-in and charge away.

Very light and easy to set up. Good buy for on the go solar energy for my RV batteries.

I was interested in some easy solar generating system that was simple and easy to use. I use this kit to keep my Battle Born batteries charged while out dry camping in our Airstream. Light weight and easy to setup and store. Exceeds my expectations.

We just finished a five day Boondocking rally and our new solar panels worked absolutely flawlessly. I think when we left the rally I had as much battery power left as I did when we started. No more worrying about losing battery power while we are camping.

very good product well built

Just hooked it up for the first time. Super easy to set up! Appeared to work as advertised. I have 90 watt rooftop on my 2022 Caravel 22FB, so the 200w portable is a great addition without the expense of installing more rooftop. I did download app to see how it is charging and it does connect to the portable controller.
Note- make sure your Zamp solar port wiring is properly connected to your batteries.
Good to go so far.

Extremely easy to set up. Began charging my batteries immediately once the connections were made. The panels are solidly built, fold up very compactly and fit neatly into our Airstream’s closet. The fixed handle on the middle panel appears to be very rugged and makes handling the panels a breeze. The carrying case is attractive and functional. My only issue is difficulty synching with the app but it is not essential because the readout on the controller is very intuitive and I only intend to use the panels when I am present so remote monitoring is not essential. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I've been using, for over five years, a Zamp suitcase 160 watt solar panel. There was nothing wrong with its performance, but with the passage of time my performance in hefting it around diminished. So, I decided to take advantage of the advances in technology, including lighter weight with increased power, and have found this purchase to put a smile on my face everytime I take it out of the truck bed, set it up, and reposition it to follow the sun's movement across the sky. As it is that no one has ever complained about having too much solar capacity, the additional 40 watts of power offered by this panel is an added plus.
We gave the Zamp to our daughter, who is making good use of it.

We haven’t had the chance to try our new solar panels out! I can’t wait! The panels are light and easy to set up! Very nice set up!

Amazing product. And when I had a slight issue while camping that was no fault of the panels, (fuse size at Zamp wire) Andy at AirGear was amazing. KB

My husband and I have been using less expensive, lightweight foldable panels for the last few years, they are floppy and not very efficient. This was a Christmas present to the both of us!
I am very impressed with the quality of the product. I love the rigid panels and the simple support system that allows them to prop up on their own. We were always trying to find something to prop our floppy ones against.
We haven't had a chance to test them yet, but I feel confident that we will have much better results with these new panels.

We tried out our solar right away and it was so easy to set up! Thank you

Love this portable solar panel. Set up is less than 5 minutes using the Zamp port on the Airstream. My friends can't believe how light it is (19 pounds). I really appreciate the small touches, like the sturdy carry bag with the pocket on front to hold the cables and controller box, and how easy it is for one person to set up unassisted. As usual from AirGear products, great design and value. [Dog not included; she’s not even mine, just my favorite god-dog…]

Customer service was EXCEPTIONAL! I watched several YouTube videos with Rich and Brad (Thirteen Adventures) - worked perfectly, easy to install. Will absolutely carry in my closet for my Harvest Host / Boondocking adventures.

It looks wonderful - impressed with the quality, light weight and ease of storing it. Have yet to hook it up and watch it work.

Out of the box under less than ideal circumstances stated pulling 120-130w and had no problem charging lithium batteries. Considering another purchase to have a 400w capacity.

We have a 2022 FC 23CB/23D with two 90watt power panels on the roof, and this is the perfect addition! We used it boondocking for 5 days and being able to target it directly helped a bunch on making sure we were getting the best solar charge for our rig.
This is much lighter then I thought it would be, and the setup is simple and easy, ESPECIALLY for a non-solar tech savvy person.
Highly recommend!

We have an Basecamp X which includes the solar package. We live in Alaska so sometimes the sunny days are few. Plus we deal with low sun angles, which make it challenging for our roof-mounted solar panels. After getting tired of running the generator to recharge our AGM batteries, we recently bought the 200 watt solar panels from Airstream. I shopped around and couldn’t find a better deal (wattage, portability, MPPT controller, heavier gauge wiring). We’re on our maiden voyage and am pleased with its performance. We were able to charge the battery while running the refrigerator even on a cloudy day. Setup and operation is easy. They are very light but not flimsy. The Bluetooth connectivity is great. Highly recommend! Now I just need to upgrade to lithium!

The panel was fairly easy to hook up, and interfaced just fine with my 2019 Globetrotter. My trailer has factory-installed roof-top solar panels, and was updated with lithium batteries. I have not done a road trip yet with the new panels, but they fed power into my batteries in a test on my driveway.
The panels fold and unfold easily, and store neatly in the included fabric case. I keep them in the closet in my trailer. They include a fold-out brace to prop then at an angle to catch the sun. They are easy to carry in their case. The only down-side is that they do not plug directly into the solar port on the trailer; the included controller plugs into the port and the panels plug into the controller; so there is one extra bit of hardware to manage.

Easy to set up
Works great

I've only used it at home, so far, but since I am garaging my Basecamp, I need to keep the batteries charged and this solar kit does it beautifully and in a short amount of time. great purchase!

Works fine, easy set up

Worked like a charm keeping a pair of AGM batteries up on our Bambi over Memorial weekend. The 25' cable that came with the setup had a misformed connector on one end but was still usable. I notified the company and sent a picture and 3 days later a new 25' showed up. Now I can move the panels up to 50' if I need to to find the sun. Great product.

The set up was very easy and looking forward to experiencing the charging up of our batteries - they were topped off already so we didn't get the opportunity to charge. Looking forward to our upcoming trip where we will be working them out. Giving it 4 stars because it didn't fit in our wardrobe. Darn! I want to give a shout out to Lance in customer service as he is so helpful. If he doesn't know, he will find out. Thanks, Lance.

We are excited to receive the solar panels. Tested them out in the driveway. Will use them this spring. They came as expected, easy to handle and hookup.

Have not camped with it yet. But tried it out to top off batteries as the Basecamp sat in storage shed. Worked flawlessly. Much better than old system.

I have not used MY purchased solar array. However, I purchased this after borrowing this same unit from a friend. It worked flawlessly over a 3-day boondocking event in NE Oklahoma. So, I am confident in recommending it. BTW, we evaluated (on line) several solid-panel suitcase models. We also didn’t want to deal with a suitcase model weighing twice as much (35 lbs) as this one (16 lbs).

I started my Airstream journey with a two panel folding 180w Zamp portable version. But man that thing is heavy weighing in at 40+ lbs. But hey, that’s what was available several years ago.
We have a 2017 20ft Bambi International with limited space so we lug it to the bed for travel, lug it off the bed and stand it up by the door when not in use and muscle it outside and unfold it for use.
We just came off a 5 week trip and I was really tired of moving that sucker. So I happened upon Rich’s review of this new light weight 3 panel version. Took me all of 30 seconds to decide it was time to make my Airstream life just a little easier!
Set up was easy and works great with our lithium batteries. But you know the best part? It stows in a 3 inch space between the side of the bed and the bath room wall. No more lugging!
Thanks Rich, for putting this solar panel in your offerings. I never would have found in on my own!

High quality, lightweight solar panels with a 25 foot cord make it really easy to find the sun. Super easy to set up and plug in to our existing solar charger to add the extra power to keep the batteries topped up.
Matt S.
Setup took about 2 minutes. The hardest part was pushing the gas canister enclosure sufficiently to allow the connection between the charge controller and the battery, All the connections were color coded and setting up the foldable solar panel array was super easy. The long cord for the array will be helpful as we have been unable to take the trailer on the road yet due to our tow vehicle being in the shop for an extended period. This connection will almost triple the capacity of the existing 90W factory installed system and will greatly increase our ability to go off grid for extended periods.

Everything I ordered came in a timely fashion and in good shape.

We have used since purchasing it at the Lebanon Rally. It is everything that it is said to be, lightweight, easily deployed and stored. Buying here will also give you a great support system! Well worth the money. Thank you Tothie!

This Solar panel charging system worked flawlessly. Light weight and very easy to set up. Waterproof and built like a tank. Comes with a nice zippered bag and stores easily in my closet of the airstream. I see that it can be used with lead acid batteries, AGM batteries, and lithium batteries. I believe you just need to call to set up the lithium program. This is well worth the purchase price.

Bought this solar kit while in Tucson at the newly opened Airstream Life store. Have used it on several dry camping trips. Lightweight. Easy to plug in to our 2004 Safari SS. Long cord for access to sun while parked in shade. Charges phones using 12 volt plugs. Plan to buy an inverter next!

Our first solar purchase and a great one! This unit is so lightweight, thin, portable and more. The adaptor works easily with our prewired plug on our 2017 Bambi 16’. Easy to set up, move for maximum sun exposure, and to store. Perfect for boondocking and keeping our battery charged. Very happy!
