Love the new key which is round vs. square. The initial "black cushion" started coming off the key after 3 yrs of use & I accidently left key in the door keyhole in a parking lot(cushion itself was left on my key chain)...
This round version has a sturdier key cushion design that will not let the key slip out after locking the trailer door.

Thought it was a good idea to have a third set of keys to place in a hidden magnetic container. You can get the key blanks cheaper elsewhere, but then you have to find someone that knows how to cut them. All in all, money well spent.

We have a 25' Flying Cloud FBT and love it! It's our first Airstream and we have noticed lots of people sharing that they've been locked out of their AS or lost their keys and we didn't want to be in on that experience, lol. We ordered extra of the handle key and the deadbolt key and they all work!! Now we have the peace of mind of knowing we have extra keys and shouldn't ever get locked out of our beautiful Airstream.

Anyone can suddenly realize, as that solid Airstream door goes Click, that the keys are inside. No small problem trying to get in when you're locked out-- either through absent-mindedness or because that entry door latch can lock itself sometimes. So to have an extra set of keys kept outside the Airstream is good insurance. These extra keys are made to match your original door lock and bolt, and they look like Airstream door keys, color coded. Buy them., stash them. You'll be happy someday that you did.
