So much better than the oem plastic latches.
Description
Are some of your drawers or cabinet doors no longer closing completely, like they used to?
That's because the latch is wearing out and snapping shut prematurely

If it the latch keeps popping shut like this, it will eventually break and need to be replaced.
This cabinet grabber latch replaces cabinet drawer and door catches in most modern Airstreams.

love the metal casing of the catch. I've had the plastics ones split and weaken the mechanisms

Replacement cabinet grabber latches for Airstream
Store owner replied: We appreciate you calling out the metal casing in this product. The metal and the stronger 10 lb. style of our latches is an upgrade over the OEM latches. Happy travels!
The grabber latch seems to be of good quality. I recently installed one so time will tell. When installing the latch using the screws provided I had to enlarge the latch hole in order for the screws to go through. A 5/32” bit enlarged the hole just enough.

Much better quality than the OEM latches.

Much better than airstream original.

Original latches average 100db when closing, these are reading 75db. A++++++++

Exactly right. Both the product and the seller.

Great improvement yo the OEM latches

The receiver (female) side of the latch is very solid but the male side is still plastic which was not quite expected, but totally fine. With the rig shaking around as much as it does these things will inevitably not quite line up causing the traditional plastic receiver side to split its thin plastics and stop working. The metal is much more sold and has been holding up great!

Replacement cabinet grabber latches for Airstream
Store owner replied: Great to hear the latch is holding up well. Our Airstreams do tend to take a beating when we travel and replacement of parts like these is inevitable. Thanks for purchasing the cabinet grabber latch from us and happy travels!
Excellent replacement latches.

Work just like the OEM latches. I keep extras in the trailer in case one breaks. Also have added an extra one to those doors that never stay closed. Only reason not a 5 rating is they don’t come with screws…another trip to the hardware store.

Like keeping a few extras in a drawer of the FC. Always seems to be one drawer or door that’s needs a little extra help staying closed

The latch in the drawer between the twin beds in our 2023 Flying Cloud failed and we found all the stuff in that drawer all over the floor in our bedroom after a road trip. I bought the Air Gear latches and used one to support the drawer. It is made better than the original latch that came with our rig and was easy to install. The only negative is that the laches do not come with screws and the screws that come with the original latch are too thick to be used with the Air Gear latches. Took me two trips to the hardware store to find the right screws.

Replacement cabinet grabber latches for Airstream
Store owner replied: Glad your drawers are staying put with the new latch! Screws aren't included because the factory-installed screws can be used for the replacement latch. The hole may feel a bit tighter when new, but it is exactly the same size as the factory-installed latch. Happy travels!
Works great

I thought these were 10lb replacements but they feel the same as the 3lb

Replacement cabinet grabber latches for Airstream
Store owner replied: These are indeed 10 pound replacements. You can't tell the difference by feel, but they will hold better than the 3 pound version. If you're having trouble with drawers opening during travel, consider whether they might be overloaded (heavily-loaded drawers can overcome even a 10 pound catch). If it's a cabinet, consider whether items inside the cabinet are pressing on the door.
I was originally disappointed I had to buy a six pack but I went through the trailer and replaced 3 of them. They work great. It will be good to have a few spares.

Great replacement for my Airstream cabinet latches. These were more expensive than others but I feel the quality is better.

Great latches, way better than the stock plastic ones.

The catch is a metal cage with similar one parts inside and the latch is a similar open plastic piece, but appears to be a different type of plastic. I will have to update later to comment on longevity. The failure on my trailer was the body of the catch split out so the body being metal holds promise.

Good quality latch. Fits the same as the OEM latch. Easy install.

Way better latch than the original. Obviously not all plastic. Easy to install.

We ordered replacement latches for that just in case times. So if a latch should break we have replacements on hand and know they will fit properly.

These are quality 10# pull "grabber latches." Most of the latch is metal, unlike the ones you find on Amazon. Definitely worth the price. Very quick shipping. AirGear does not disappoint.

Replacement cabinet latches for Airstream
Store owner replied: You are most welcome. We do try to offer 'hard to find' items like this. As Airstreamers ourselves, we know it can be difficult trying to find little things like latches and etc. Happy travels!
Excellent latch replacement.

I wish they were made a little stronger. Plastic seems brittle.

Our pantry and lower drawer on our new 2022 Interstate 19 were flying open practically every time we turned a corner! These heavier gauge replacement latches were a cinch to install, and solved the issue 100%. Shouldn’t have been necessary in the first place, but glad to have an easy fix.

These cabinet latches are a good easy replacement for old OEM latches on my Airstream. Much stronger grip.

as plastic constantly deteriorates I suggest having a few of these on hand to keep those door and drawers closed during travel.

These were an exact replacement for the latches in my 2003 Bambi. Perfect fit.

The standard black plastic door and cabinet latch does break occasionally. It is a good idea to keep an extra on hand when traveling, as a loose door leads to lots of other problems. The latch is easy to install, takes a bit of lining up, and holds fast when properly adjusted. Helpful for Airstream Life Store to have them to order.

Always good to have an extra or two. Easy to replace & high quality.

The latch didn’t come with any screws. It would be nice if the proper screws were included.

These latches work OK, but don't always hold the drawers shut when driving. I would like to see an improved, stronger latch design. I added very strong magnets to the galley drawers; those hold them closed firmly. I also added traditional drawer pulls to make it easier to open the drawers. Interstate 24X.
