Since buying our new Airstream last year we have been immersed in watching the support videos, reading Airstream Life magazine and many of the forums available. Rich Luhr's name is prevalent in a lot of this information and his videos are great. My husband has mentioned numerous times he would like to buy a few of the gadgets that Rich recommends. Gadgets is my word. My husband is into gadgets and I am always kind of skeptical of whether they are really necessary. I felt the same way about some of Rich's suggestions especially since he is selling these items himself via Air Gear. But thankfully my husband ignores me and purchases what he wants including this book .We are both now reading the book cover to cover and learning many important tips about how to really take care of this awesome trailer. And I've changed my mind about those gadgets after reading the explanations in the book. They're actually super helpful additions to keep this beauty in tiptop shape

THE 2ND EDITION OF THE GUIDE IS AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE FOR ME AND RECOMMEND ALL AIRSTREAM OPERATORS GET A COPY AND FOLLOW RICH LUHR’s ADVICE AND GUIDANCE ON HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR TRAILER! I HAS BEEN MY MOST IMPORTANT “TRAILER” INVESTMENT. THIS EDITION OF THE GUIDE HAS A NUMBER OF IMPROVEMENTS OVER THE FIRST EDITION, ESPECIALLY DISCUSSING ELECTRICAL ISSUES SUCH AS THE BENEFIT OF USING AN “ELECTRICAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS)” - SEE PHOTO FROM PAGE 177, TO PROTECT AGAINST LOW/HIGH VOLTAGE THAT CAN HARM OR DESTROY YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I PURCHASED ONE AND USE IT WHENEVER HOOKING UP TO POWER. I SPEND TIME REVIEWING THE GUIDE BEFORE EVERY OUTING AS A RECENT OWNER OF A 2015 FLYING CLOUD FB23. DON’T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT A COPY! Handy reference manual to have for the Airstream

Very informative and easy to understand book especially for newbies.

We’re new to the Airstream world. This book and the other tools we’ve collected are the result of on-line searches, videos, and personal testimonies on creating a successful camping experience, We appreciate the sound advice and recommendations from AirGear and others to help start us on a good track with our Airstream adventures.

Great resource for repairs and maintenance tips written in very accessible language. Should pair well with additional resources and videos available through Air Gear!

I actually used it to troubleshoot a water leak issue. Did not locate leak however what and where to look for it was helpful. I am sure I will be needing it in the future.

Lots of great information. I didn't give 5 stars because it doesn't cover the newest technology that have been introduced in the last couple years like the Alde.

I purchased this book as a Christmas gift for a longtime friend who has had a SOB trailer for many years but just recently purchased an Airstream because they were so impressed with our Airstream.

Book hits many issues I hoped it would. As an Airstream newbie I really appreciate understandable clear instructions.

Very informative. Read it from cover to cover and learned a lot about every modle but the 2025 REI Basecamp, Apparently, I'm the proud owner of an "unwanted step child." Luckily the owners manual is like a rough outline of how to do things, but that's even incorrect at times. It insists that you use a 3/4 " thinwall socket to undo the wheel lugnuts. It's 21mm. You couldn't get a 3/4" socket in there if you were beating it with a sledge hammer. Neither one mentions that you need a #1 square drive screwdriver to access anything in the interior. Luckily I am a boat owner so I have figured out many of these things before. I'm enjoying my REI Basecamp anyway.

Very clear and concise

We really want to care for our 2011 25’ Flying Cloud and this manual helps us do that. Clear instructions for every part of our Airstream.

We're Airstream newbies. The Complete Guide to Maintenance is a must read!

Book extremely helpful and appreciated, but in my case it requires that I make some exclusions in advice given that I own a 2024 Trade Wind Airstream. I anticipate that a future version will have appropriate edits since my unit has many changes that are not accounted for in the book’s current edition.

It's a necessity.

Must have reference for Airstream owners.

First weekend out we’re at 30 foot airstream first problem. Water heater will get warm and then go cold found out with the help of your book that the mixing valve was misbehaving disassemble and in the process of fixing it now I will report more when we get going.

Overall, this book has good information that certainly isn't included in the Owners Manual we received for our Airstream Pottery Barn SE. Since this is an "all-inclusive" style guide, it incorporates plenty of irrelevant information that doesn't pertain to our model, but for the price, it still provides ample value for those interested in properly maintaining or repairing your Airstream. I found searching for some information a little cumbersome as there's only a table of contents and no keyword index at the back. Additionally, I keep all my manuals digitally for ease of access (and searchability), so it's a little inconvenient to pulling out a hardcopy whenver I'm trying to quickly resolve an issue. I'd LOVE if they made a PDF copy available... whether for sale separately or as a complimentary download for those who purchase the physical book.

This is the Bible of Airstreams! This book is where I can go when I need direction that I KNOW is fact based. There is so much garbage on the internet and I can say that because I’ve read this book. Do yourself a favor and carry it and read it wherever you go.

Very well written lots of stuff not in the manual Wish there were videos on my year model like they are for current models like how to work the tv controls

Lots of useful information for a newbie.

Great book about Airstream maintenance, well written and easy to understand. I'm planning to keep it in our trailer...Thanks again!

Good primer.

Switching from a Tiffin Vanleigh Beacon 5th wheel to the Airstream Classic, I am interested in every possible manual and found this to be an excellent reference to supplement the Owner's Manual.

Purchased an Airstream newbie many questions can solutions can be overwhelming. Rich's is insight is practical and easy to follow. I even ordered and electronic copy to keep in my phone!

awesome how to book. extremely informative

Knowledge is power.

Very nice guide on how to do do pretty much any maintainence on an Airstream. Easy to read and understand.

I really appreciated the updates from the previous edition. The attention to topics that clearly have come to the attention of the author between editions is readily evident. The increased number of pictures is also helpful. Since it is still snowing in Wisconsin I took time to read most of the "2nd" edition as a way to review items I should pay attention to when I finally have a chance to "de-winterize".

I really love the book and consider it a valuable resource. However, my first significant need to use the book in search of a solution left me somewhat disappointed. I removed the front window stone guards on my 2023 International to clean out the crud that has collected between the guards and the windows. Replacing the guards and attempting to turn the screw fasteners became a significant task. First, the screw fasteners on my International look nothing like what is pictured in your book, page 52, Figure 26. In addition, the force required to retighten these guards was significant. I was extremely concerned that I would strip the screw head. I can only hope that the Air Gear Store will offer some type of replacement for this awful Airstream engineering debacle.

This is my second year owning a 27’ Airstream Globetrotter. There is a lot off stuff to remember and Rich’s new book is a great checklist for beginning the new season. What’s great is that it’s not just a reminder, but also tells me what to do about any problems that come up. I had better get busy. It’s starting to warm up in NJ.

We’ll laid out and an easy read.

Well written for a beginner or an expert.

valuable update, however much is unchanged from the previous edition. I refer to it frequently as I learn to maintain Bumblebee.

Book has most things... first thing I looked at is how to keep pull out steps from getting stuck out of alignment - not addressed in book. Also book arrived a bit damaged. Most everything seems to be addressed, even what user manual doesn't say about Girard water heater - much appreciated for that. Unfortunate my book has some smashed pages - maybe mishandled by USPS.

As a Newbie, I read both books cover to cover and loved them both. Will refer to both of them often as we gain real world experience in our new Caravel FB 22. Thanks for writing both books and providing great insight with all of your videos!

I have a Interstate 24GT and the book is not what I was looking for. It is only marginally useful to me .
