This is one of the things Airstream should have done many years ago. This kit is well thought out, rugged, and reliable. The instructions are good, and the finished installation looks great.
They also gave two backups to the lock working. First, there is a covered USB port at the bottom that you can plug in a charger or battery pack to power the lock if the batteries die. And they give you two backup keys that open the lock in case it does not work. But so far it has been flawless.
The keypad lights up and beeps but you can turn both off or set the volume, and you can set multiple codes.
This is a no bluetooth device by design for security.
We have been testing it as our only way into the Airstream after we installed it and it has worked flawlessly. It is so nice to forget your keys now, and still open the door!
We just got back from a 4 day trip to the beaches and never used the keys!
Installation was straightforward and easy except for a feature on our particular Airstream. I am betting this is a very small exception, but on our 23CBB, we had to cut a slight arc out of the trim piece of aluminum above the Airloq to allow it to fit. It took another few minutes to do this,

This keyless entry lock gives you freedom when wanting to leave your trailer. I would always need to check with my wife about who has the keys when we leave the trailer to take the dogs on a walk or take a quick trip. Having this lock allows us to lock the trailer with the push of a button and go on our way without worry.
The lock installs easily. The only challenge come from how Airstream installed the door catch. On my trailer Airstream drilled multiple holes to install the black plastic door catch. That caused me to improvise when installing the Airloq door catch. One trip to the hardware store to get slightly bigger screws solved my problem.

After using Air Gear’s AIRloq keyless entry door lock for specific airstream models, here’s my review:
It’s super handy to leave the campsite with the electronic door lock installed. You don’t need a key to lock it—just press a button, and it locks right up! When you get back to camp, simply punch in the code to unlock it. And no app on your phone either.
Inside, there’s a thumb latch that works just like the original one. The build quality is great, and it’s been working perfectly without any issues after a lot of use. If the battery ever fails, you can use the provided key to open it.
Plus, there’s a mini connection port so you can use a battery pack to energize it. Punch in the code. Lock opens.
Another advantage to having an electronic lock is for example, should you inadvertently leave camp forgetting to retract the electric awning or some other senior moment. Just call a camp mate the code to open the lock and take care of the issue. Lock code is programmable and easily changed.
Installation is a snap. Remove the OEM lock leaving the bolt in place, Install the electronic lock with provided hardware along with provided new door latch bumper. Install batteries. Program the lock code. Good to go!
Just a heads-up: when you’re on the road, make sure both locks are engaged not just the electronic one.

We were a beta site here in Tucson. Rich and Ken were amazing. They installed it, but we could have done it ourselves easily.
We just took our rig out with this installed.
First, it looks super cool - we love hardware and this looks robust and a little initimidating for casual observers.
Second - it is easy to use.
A single button locks the door. Sometimes we do have to put a little pressure on the door to engage, but that is standard for our door.
A 4 digit number and the # key unlock the door. This sure beats waiting at the door for the partner who has the keys!
Inside the deadbolt locks with an easy turning knob.
Third - programming a new master code and a new door code is easy - the manual makes it really clear.
The only little issue is we wish we had the black/black instead of the silver/white but we will remedy that with paint at some point. Not on the high priority list.
I will note that when we bought the used 2023 International the dead bolt had been damaged and basically required a few shenanigans to get it to work - this was an issue for the installation of the Airloq.
So...wonderful Rich supplied us with the resources to fix the deadbolt (a simple video and stuff we had at home). This allowed us to have the Airloq and have peace of mind on the door being secure.
We love this and we are busy replacing our other door locks with same-keyed locks so our key fob is slowly shrinking - our biggest complaint about AirStream so far!!
Thanks Rich and Ken for the opportunity to be a guinea pig for the product. We love it and think others will too!! It is vital to keeping those tiny arguments and lost key discussions out of what should be a vacation!

When I saw this door lock I immediately ordered two of them. One for our Airstream and one for a friend's Airstream. (Birthday Gift for him.)
Installation was simple and straightforward. When we met up with our friends he was very impressed with the lock as well. Had his installed in only a few minutes. We agreed it is so nice to not have to think about carrying keys every time you leave the campsite.

So far the lock has been great. It was easy to install, although a second set of hands were useful. It works flawlessly and we don’t mind the somewhat utilitarian look. Not having to have a key in my pocket at all times is a real plus.

Once it was installed, it’s been great. The only issue I ran into was the screws for the new stopper. They were quite difficult to put in by hand, so I used a power screwdriver on a low torque setting. Even then, one of the screws stripped out the aluminum a bit so now it doesn’t have a secure fit, but doesn’t affect the function. Overall happy with the lock, just wish the solution for the stopper was a bit more non-invasive.
Air Gear for the win, once again! If Rich recommends it, I want it!
While traveling on an Airstream Caravan, I arranged to have the lock shipped to our next stop. It arrived as planned, and I had it installed in no time while waiting for our hamburger cookout!
We were the envy of our fellow caravaners and have thoroughly enjoyed the convenience of our new lock. Installation was a breeze—all it took was a Phillips-head screwdriver and the easy-to-follow instructions.

The lock is easy to install with well written instructions and a helpful video tutorial. I wish it had a remote and Bluetooth, but maybe that will be integrated into later versions of the lock.
The lock is awesome! The only issue is the mounting screws for the door hold back latch are about 1/4 of an inch too long, and I had to replace them with ones I purchased at the hardware store.

We've since corrected the issue, and so this won't be a problem for any future customers. We'll also replace the screws for any previous customer who needs them, of course!
Installation went well and the lock performs as expected. It is great to be at a campsite and not have to carry the keys when hiking or spending time at the pool.
We debated about the purchase, do we really need it. We were leaving for a month long autumn trip through Utah. It was the argument of I am going back to the camper where are the keys. We keep our keys on one big key chain and they get cumbersome. Doing laundry, we didn't have to take the big key chain. You don't realize how often you are lugging those keys around from a quiet evening stroll to walking the bag of rubbish to a bin. I highly recommend this product. It took my husband about 20 minutes to install.

Received our new AirLoq in very short order and installed it yesterday. Installation was straight-forward with only a screwdriver required to complete.
The instructions state it would be handy to have a 2nd person assist by holding the outside keypad in place while you install the inner mounting plate and screws. I didn't have anyone available when I wanted to get it installed, so I used some painter's tape to hold the keypad in place while I installed the screws through the inner mounting plate. This worked fine.
Unlike the stock deadbolt which mounts with only two screws, the AirLoq is secured with four screws, each of which comes tipped with a thread-locker compound. Once that's done it is a simple process to mount the battery holder, plugging in the control wire and fastening it down with four more screws.
Programming was straight-forward and accomplished in minutes. All told I think I spent about 15 minutes changing out the stock deadbolt and getting the AirLoq programmed.
LIke the other AirGear upgrades we have installed, the AirLoq is well thought out, well made and a great improvement to the stock item it replaced.
