Provides good shade but is easy to see through. Looks nice!
Easy enough to install/remove the shade in just a minute or two.
Snap placement is important. We put one too high, another too far to the right, making it a little difficult to snap in place. Snapping in from the top makes it much easier. If I were to do it again, I'd use a grease pencil on the snap to make an impression on the awning and then drill in the center of that.

Great upgrade for those hot summer days.

I used the sun screen for the first time today. It was a snap to install and sitting outdoors was very nice, given the shade we needed. It looks great, was simple to install and take down, and very well made. Looking forward to using it on our way to Alumapalooza 14 and beyond. Thanks for a great product. I highly recommend Air Gear Sun Screen.

Be sure and buy the rivet tool as well. It makes installation easy.
Gordon P.
Easy initial installation , easy to set up, I found that empty one gallon jugs to carry with you and fill with water to fit perfectly into the three support bags. Remember one gallon of water weighs about eight pounds. Great shade, glad to make the purchase.
Nicole M.
The screen is great quality and super easy to install. As always, shipping and customer service are top notch from Air Gear! Looking forward to using the screen on our next camping trip!
Alan L.
Very easy to install. All parts needed were included. Great product.

I believe it helps to cut the sunlight, but the snaps don't hold very well in high winds. We've been experiencing heavy thunderstorms during the first week of use and find that the snaps are releasing when the wind is gusting. Other than that it works well.
James G.
Works as advertised. Top quality. Installation video very helpful and instrumental in purchase decision.
Bill C.
Easy to install and what a difference it makes temperature wise.
Michael H.
Easy to install with the correct tools and procedure. First, mark the area like they said. Second, dimple the spot to prevent the drill bit from "walking". Third use a titanium drill bit (not a wood drill bit) smaller than the 9/64 to drill a starter hole....then use the 9/64 drill bit to drill the hole to the proper size... then install the snap. You can do this with one person.

Rich & Tothie came over to correct our improper installation of our sunscreen. Customer service is way beyond what we expected!!! We have bought many items from Air Gear and cannot say enough great things about them!!!

A 10’ Sun Shade installed on our 25’ FC. It was a very easy installation and easy to bring along with the included mesh bag. I used some cut 2x12’s to put flat inside the hold down bags and they worked well for us. Held out the bottom edge really well and they would slide if a dogs lead got caught on the bungee cord. It was cooler behind the Sun Shade! Thank you for a great product! (Purchased in 11/23, installed 4/24)
Jeffery H.
Thank you for making one in a size that fits the awning for a 19' unit! Easy installation. A snap to set up. Easy to take down, fold, and put it in the bag. Adds a bit of privacy. Most of all, it does what it's supposed to do: provide sun protection. When used in conjunction with the Airgear mat, it creates a cozy sitting area.

Great product to block light and heat in the Arizona desert in Tonto National Forest. Easy to install, but I may have made it more difficult by missing a hole by a milliliter or two. Very glad to have added it to my 25 Ft Flying Cloud. The 15 ft shade is perfect for our size. I
I wish end pieces were made as well.
Barry C.
Easier to install than I thought! Used my air gear rivet tool
Looks great up!
Mary F.
We got it installed following the instructions. Look forward to using it next outing.

Near the end of last summer, we planned to purchase a new ground rug and fence to give us more room on camp-side and more freedom for our two dogs. After dealing with a couple of trips with the sun running us off the campside, the sunscreen was the answer. Love that we can use it when needed or unsnap when not. Also gives a little privacy for snoopy onlookers (campground rubber-neckers).
Easy to install with a quality rivet tool and drill. Packs down light and small. My only suggestion would be a larger carry bag to allow various folding and storage options. I do not like packing and folding the screen and rug along the same folds every time. Would be nice to vary the fold to avoid permanent folds or cracks in the fabric.

I’ve been wanting this sun shade for some time now. We ordered it for a trip into the Baja. Installing it took a morning, and was very straight forward. We’ve used it a time or two and are happy with it so far!
Steve B.
We ordered the 10 foot model for our Flying Cloud 23’ and absolutely love it. It took about 15 minutes to get all of the snaps installed, and presto! Shade! We just wish that there was a 13’ model to run the entire length of the awning. As always Airgear is great to work with and their install videos are top notch.
Ronald C.
Easy install. It filters the sun so you can enjoy outside. Best yet is that it will also channel a breeze thru your patio space (nice surprise).
Sharon S J.
Works great! Very easy to install. Guts did it in about 15 minutes.
Cary B.
This works perfectly. Thanks
Jim C.
easy to install, but don't assume even spacing of the snaps when marking the awning for rivets. surprised at how much cooler the area under the awning became using the sun shade. Well worth the money!
Diana A.
This is nice quality and installation was so easy.
David B.
We ordered the Sunscreen because we were camping in Zion National Park for 3 months as campground hosts. Temperatures in the canyon can and do hit 100 degrees with little to no cloud cover. The Sunscreen made a big difference in comfort.

Good quality ~ nice touch to include carrying bag, the tie down bungie cords & anchoring bags. My only negative is that the snaps are not equal distance center to center which would be nice if your awning is wider than 15+ft so you could easily attach the sun screen starting at one end OR the other end. This would save having to add additional male snaps on your longer than 15’ awning to get the spacing right for starting it from the opposite end ( or just miving it down the line )

This is a great accessory for our Airstream! It has made all the difference in enjoying our outdoor space in sunny locations. The YouTube video made it very easy to follow the directions & we had it up in about 30 min or less. The storage bag is nice for stowing when we don’t need it.
Carl T.
Easy installation and extra snap and rivet were helpful!
Very easy to use and snaps were great.
Shawn W.
Easy to install and works great.
William B.
The shade and weight bags are well built and including the bungees is a nice touch.
Richard W.
Shade screen was easy to install. Worked as advertised. Will now help keep our Airstream cool on very sunny days.
Tonya L.
I love this shade! Great quality and such thoughtful touches. The storage bag is heavy duty and high quality. The weighted "anchor" bags to hold down the screen during a breeze are such a thoughtful touch (btw, I put a heavy shoe in mine instead of sand; someone else suggested a gallon water jug). I installed it while out camping with NorCal friends last weekend and installation was just as easy as the helpful video promised… I had already scoped things out, and when my rivet gun buddy arrived it took 30min start-to-finish. (BTW – if you have clamps, I clamped mine to the valance for placement confirmation – left it up overnight just to get the feel of things. That was a handy way to test-drive it.). I love the privacy it creates… just that extra little layer, almost like a screened porch in my native South. This screen is a real score --- great design, easy install, high-quality materials with thoughtful touches. A+, AirGear

I love this shade! I did the installation at a campground since I store Bella when we're not out camping. The shade is great quality with such thoughtful touches - the storage bag is heavy duty and high quality, the “sand”-bags to hold down the screen during a breeze are such a thoughtful touch (btw, I’ll put a heavy shoe in mine instead of sand). We love our new sun shade for our awning! It’s very good quality and easy to install. The weighted bags for the tie downs work well and easy to set up. Lastly the storage bag is perfect for stowing the shade in our forward compartment. As always Rich has put together a great package!
Richard K.
Terrific! This is the 15' SunShade on our 30' International. We installed at a campground, because we must store our camper away from home. Took only a short time to install. I am tall, so relatively easy for me to measure, drill 9/64th hole, and use pop rivet gun. Measured 4' from front to start first snap so access to our door is not impaired. My wife did help when I first started to hold the other end to make sure there were no conflicts along the way. From there I did myself ... drilled hole, attached snap, measured, drilled again for a total of 6 snaps, etc. Came with needed snaps and rivets, 4 sandbags, 4 elastic snubbies to secure bottom, and ventilated cary case. We do not carry sand in Ohio, so we used 4 tent stakes we already had to secure the bottom vs sand bags. Seems well made, and it did screen the sun well.

Super easy installation. Adds shade and privacy, highly recommend.

What a great purchase….easy order…quick delivery….easy 30 minute install using Rich’s How to Video. Excellent quality, does a great job of blocking the sun but still allows air to pass thru.
Darryl N.
Easy order - quick delivery as always from AS Life.
Shade seems well made and built to last. Installed today after reading included instructions and watching Rich’s video. (The video is a must watch, thank you Rich.) Took longer getting my tools and ladder out than completing the install. Using some strong shop clips, I attached the shade to the awning valance first so that I could actually see how it would line up on the camper. One item to be aware of - make sure that you account for the awning rivets that are already in place. I came a bit close on one.
We are not generally “hot” weather campers, but a friend that we have been prodding to start RVing just took delivery of his camper and is eager to get out there. We’ll be trying this out in a couple of weeks during a North Carolina summer. I’m sure that it will be a positive addition to our AS.

Fits and looks great!

This shade is awesome. We are at a site long term and our patio faces east, we were sun baked until early afternoon. took 30 minutes to install the shade and it blocks the direct sun as advertised. I highly recommend it.
Robert R.
The first couple of rivets were a little scary but went on just fine. The rest was a breeze. Snaps on easy, snaps off easy. I us a short step to reach, however not a problem if I wanted to lower the front. Excellent shade coverage on a hot day.
Eric W.
Excellent customer service. High quality product and I like the small details of including everything you need to install (except tool).
Les G.
Installed on our brand new 27FBT Flying Cloud with manual awning. Feels like nice quality material that will hold up for a good while. Installation is easy. Material gives some privacy and really does block the sunlight from baking us and the rig. We ordered the 15' x6' size and I am glad we did even though the recommendation in the description states to get the 5' for manual awning. The 5' would not come down far enough for us. With awning arm in notch position four and the shade installed, the shade still rests easily close to 2 feet above the ground. Get the 6' even for manual awning. Pricey, but worth it.

While in my home town of Sierra Vista Az, I made a trip up to Tucson to pick up the sun shade in person vs shipping. Came in just before closing and was warmly welcomed while receiving great customer service. During the simple installation outlined in their very helpful video, I messed up one of the rivets while installing the last button snap. After inquiring about the rivet size, they offered to send me extras at no cost to me.. I declined as I was able to obtain replacements locally. The sun shade is awesome. Paired with Nite ize Can Jam Rope tighteners and the included tent stakes, the product seems very secure and provides great shade while obtaining air flow. Thanks Airstream Life, y’all are awesome!
Patricia K.
Easy to install. It took us 45 mins but we can't add! I have a FC 25FBQ.
I ordered the 15/6 - and am really glad I did. It fits the length of the awning. This is a game changer for camping!
Douglas W.
Easy to install and greatly reduces the heat of the sun. We have had other Airstreamer's compliment the shade and ask where we got it.
Elaine J.
This shade cover was quite easy to put up if you have a drill, rivet gun, and a step stool. Rich’s video was spot on. Took about 30 minutes. It helped that there were two of us so hubby didn’t have to get up and down to switch tools.
Roger E.
Easy to install, easy to set up. Nice addition to our Foretravel awning. We need an end of the awning shade to make it complete.
Hugh M.
After cooking in the sun at a beautiful spot near Asheville NC, I was thrilled that the Airstream Life Store offered this solution from Zip Dee. The installation was easier than I thought it would be - watch the video on the ALS website before starting for great tips. Now that it’s installed, it goes on and off easily and packs away nicely. Great product that I expect to use a lot in our travels!
Randy D.
Install was fairly easy. Fit was very good. Haven’t put it to the test yet, but will shortly.
Cheryl B.
Love these solar shades. Second one I've purchased. Had to get a larger one for my larger Airstream.
They really do the job keeping the sun at bay and also give you a feeling of privacy when sitting under your awning. They're up and down in a jiffy and fold easily for neat storage.
Mark F.
Easy to install. The instructions and video were very helpful. Great quality
Richard W.
Installed fairly easily, heavier than I thought it would be but should last a long time.
Meredith G.
Was surprisingly easy to install by myself with the rivet tool from Airstream Life Store.
Charlie T.
We haven’t had a chance to use it camping yet but install went really easy. Shade is easy to hang and take down is fast as long as you pull up on the snaps.
Michael P.
Very easy to install 15 long by 6' high. We should have ordered this earlier. The dimensions are a bit off, 5' 8" instead of 6' but maybe it was 6' before it was sewn. Mark your holes about 2" down from the sewn seam in your awning. Drill, pop a rivet and move to the next hole. Keep your awning low enough to make your work easy. Took about 30 minutes to install. A second pair of hands to hold your awning flap up is helpful. It doesn't just provide shade it also cuts down the glare from nearby bright surfaces. Very sturdy fabric with some chalk marks that come off easily with a bit of water. Very happy with our purchase.
Paul C.
We live in Texas and our new shade helps us stay cool. We absolutely love it!
Keith W.
Purchased this a few weeks ago and installed it shortly after. The material is substantial and it it should be very durable. Installation was relatively easy requiring a drill and a pop rivet tool. It took roughly 30 minutes to install. I purchased the 15’ length and it is just right for my 27’ Globetrotter. I would recommend it. No more baking in the sun!
Vince F.
Great way to create more usable space on those hot summer days. Install is quick and easy, even though it requires some power tools.
Ben M.
The product itself is robust, BUT, the snaps are not strong enough to handle any other than the most minimal winds. It was constantly frustrating to pull the shade back up and resnap it! We wound up buying heavy duty clamps from Lowes and clamping the zipdee tail to the top of the shade in 6 places. Face it. How often do we live in windless conditions? For those who have RVs that allow the shade to side along a rollerbar slot to lock it in place, it would be a perfect product. Robust reengineering is needed for full functionality.
Clive G.
The sunshade was great reducing the heat and glare while dry camping near Bryce National Park.
