There are fake stores on the Internet that have copied AIR GEAR's content, photos, and products. Examples of fake stores include "airgearstore.shop" and "getairgear.shop".

The only legitimate AIR GEAR store is at https://www.airgear.store. All others are fakes.

Fake (or "phishing") stores exist to rip you off. Don't shop at them. They will take your money and never deliver anything.

How can you tell that you're shopping at a fake AIR GEAR store?

• Prices are deeply and unrealistically discounted on every product.
• The browser URL does not show "airgear.store".
• The "About Us" page makes no sense.
• The "Contact" page does not show our phone number (520-605-5000).
• There's no "Ritchie Bot" (blue chat bubble in the lower right corner).
• Our Help Center and Blog are not available.
• You can't log in with your existing customer account.

Note that having "https://" in the URL does not guarantee that you are visiting a real store. HTTPS only means the connection is encrypted. It does not prove the seller is legitimate.

When in doubt, feel free to call us!  Unlike a fake store, we answer the phone.

What if you've already placed an order on a fake store?

If you have placed an order on a fake store, your best bet is to contact the bank that issued your credit card and try to have the charge reversed. Unfortunately, we cannot help you with this.

How do these stores exist? Why can't they be stopped?

Technically, these stores are in violation of our copyright, since they illegally copy our content. We file "takedown" requests with Google and the companies that host these fake stores, but our requests are not always respected. 

Even if we are able to take down a fake store, it's a simple matter for them to make a new fake store at a different address, or with a different web hosting service.
