How do you connect a Starlink Mini to power when you have a travel trailer?
It's easy to connect a Starlink Mini to power, when you have a travel trailer. All you need is an AIR GEAR MiniLink.
All travel trailers in North America have a 7-way plug that normally connects to the truck while you're towing. When you're camped, this plug is usually just dangling off the front of the trailer, doing nothing useful. But since it's connected directly to the trailer's batteries, it's an ideal source of power that you can use for a Starlink Mini.
The AIR GEAR MiniLink makes this dead simple: Just connect the MiniLink to the 7-way plug on the travel trailer, and plug your Starlink cable into the MiniLink.
That's it! You're online!
How does the AIR GEAR MiniLink work?
The MiniLink converts the 12 volt power from the trailer's onboard batteries into 30 volts, to make it ideal for the Starlink Mini. This steady, regulated 30 volt power will keep your Starlink Mini online without power-related dropouts.
Will it kill my trailer's batteries?
Most of the time, a Starlink Mini draws about 18 watts of power. This is a fairly low power requirement, so you can run your Starlink Mini for many hours from your trailer batteries.
To get the longest battery life, we suggest you disconnect the Starlink Mini from power when you're not using it, and/or use the built-in Sleep Mode that you'll find in the Starlink Mini phone app.
Where is MiniLink sold?
The MiniLink is exclusively sold by AIR GEAR. You can find it in the AIR GEAR online store, and on Shop. It's not available on Amazon or through other outlets.
