We picked up our first teak mat from Air Gear on the same day we picked up our new Globetrotter in Chandler AZ two years ago. Since then we have loved the teak mat and appreciated the luxurious beauty and utility that it provides. We decided to refresh the mat a few weeks ago with teak oil and noticed that the non-slip/protective tape that covered the bottom wooden rails was starting to peel off. We attempted to apply new neoprene adhesive backed tape but it would not adhere to the wooden rails, at all. So, it was time for an upgrade and we acquired a newer version that we like even better! The channels allowing water to run to the drain are larger and it is a new type of protective tape that has been applied (looks a lot like neoprene). Since I lift the teak mat after every use to rinse off the bottom and clean the shower floor, I added a teak handle so I can easily grasp and remove the mat. If possible, the teak is even more beautiful than the original version so absolutely love it! We thank. you, Air Gear, for offering such a useful and attractive innovation.

Fits perfectly in our 28RB Classic. Finished beautifully and is exactly what I wanted. I feel much safer standing on it than on the actual shower floor. Anyone who has seen the shower in this model Airstream knows it's small and tricky to use. The teak mat helps and it looks like the upgrade it is. Very happy with my purchase.

Beautiful teak. Finished very well, fits and looks great. A few issues most don't think about. It sits up off the floor of the shower 1 3/4in. The shower is kind of short to begin with due to the shape of the Airstream. This brings you that much closer to the shower head and ceiling. I'm 5'8" and I feel somewhat crowded. If you're taller beware. But if you're taller, you may already have a problem without it. It does keep slippage down in the shower. You will have to continually remove in order to clean underneath and just to clear all water. It's still a nice addition and less expensive than anywhere else we found it, even Amazon.

Thanks also for pointing out the height. It's on our product page description, but some folks overlook it. We've had a number of tall customers tell us they sit on the bench to make the height issue work for them. And, you are correct; it's important to rinse the bottom of the mat every few days or for sure at the end of a trip, so soap and shampoo don't build up. I do this every other day on our trips. When we return home, I stand the mat up in the shower to let it dry completely. Happy camping! Cheryl
BEST UPGRADE EVER! It is so pretty and feels so good on your feet. I suddenly felt like it had a much firmer floor than the slick shower floor.

The teak shower mat fits perfectly and is a fantastic addition to the shower in our Pottery Barn. It is very well made and should last a long time. They are expensive but well worth the money.
