I continue to be amazed at the cheap, substandard items Airstream uses. Case in point, the locks on exterior compartments. Mostly plastic and very difficult to insert keys into. Changing the locks out using Air Gear’s kit was a no brainer. It took about three minutes to replace both lock sets and now I have good looking and functioning locks. Another great product from Air Gear.

Did not work! Bowed the door so that it would not shut. Latch plate would not line up.
Had to take it off and put the old lock back on!
It is now in my tool box not being used.

I bought the combo set with the water, shower and battery box locks. Two issues:
The cam offsets are incorrect on some of the locks so when the lock is engaged, the door has excessive slop in it. No real fix.
The shower and water and stabilizer door locks have small exterior gaskets which is a great touch. The problem is they used the wrong type material so even a little bit of tension when tightening down the lock pushes the gasket out. I will cut new gaskets and replace.

Only need one key for the water fill, outside shower and battery box lock - - the barrel locks just seem better -
PLUS, no more CH key that every EV trailer has the same lock.

Wanted it mostly for some protection of the battery box, as there is no lock at all coming from the factory. Very easy to install. Really only needed one lock but got the 3 piece mainly so I could eliminate the water fill and shower door lock key. Well made and nice clean look.

Bought a 4 lock set to replace the latch on the battery box and the locks on the stabilizer switches, water fill and outside shower door. The quality of the locks is good and it only took a couple of minutes to swap out the existing locks - with one exception. The box for the stabilizer switches (our Airstream is a Globetrotter - I know not all Airstreams have powered stabilizers) is fairly shallow and I had to trim the end of the screw to fit it in. Other than that, it was a piece of cake.

Locks were easy to install! My biggest concern was for the security of my lithium batteries. I store the camper in an inside, secure facility but someone dented my propane cover: I believe they were looking at how they were installed. . They are now more difficult to steal, anyplace I park the Airstream! Nice to also know someone will not introduce substances in my on board water supply. Thanks!

Perfect fit. Easy to install. Instructions were clear. Nice to add a lock to my battery box and have that and all Utilities door locks (motorized stabilizer jack controls, exterior shower, and fresh water) keyed to the same key.
